Our Story

We are a family of seven whose union has been planned and orchestrated by God from the very beginning. Mommy came all the way from Buenos Aires, Argentina, Daddy came from Medford, OR., and our five kids where hand picked by God from Western Washington. Mommy and Daddy met in Berrien Springs, MI. while going to university. We were married in Sandpoint, Idaho, on Dec. 16, 2001, and have been inseparable best friends since then. That is when the real adventure began.

After a couple of moves we ended up in a little town in Western Washington, where we got licensed as Foster Parents with a private agency. There is where we first met Dany; a fun, energetic, and loving 7 year old. The first time we met was when he came for respite for a couple of weeks during the summer of 2004.(Long enough to fall in love with him)

Then, on Dec. 1, 2004 we got a call from the agency saying that they needed a new home for Dany, to which we automatically said "YES". I was so excited I could hardly wait for him to get out of school so I could go pick him up.

As the months went by he told us all about his 3 year old little brother, and how much he loved and missed him. That is how we got connected with Jeremiah. We called the Social Worker and made all the arrangements so that we could bring Jeremiah home. It was love at first sight.

We knew God had sent them and that they were here to stay. Immediately we began the process of adoption. After several long months (which felt like years) the adoption was finalized and a new journey began, "Parenting."

At the end of 2006 we moved to Eastern Washington and once again became licensed as foster parents. Since we had two boys we where hoping to adopt a little girl. We had talked to our social worker before we got started on our new foster license, and she promised to look for a little baby girls for us.

Months passed by; our license took several months to be completed but finally we got it. We were so excited. The day we got our license in the mail I e-mail our social worker and told her that we had received our license. The next day, she e-mailed me back and told me that she had newborn twin baby girls who needed a placement and who would become available for adoption. She asked if we were interested. Interested! I couldn't believe it, newborn baby girls!

The timing was perfect. We were so overjoyed it felt as though our hearts would burst. They stole our heart from the very first moment we saw them. We didn't know whether we should laugh or cry, so we did both! All I could say was “oh honey they’re perfect.” It was such an incredible experience to be able to bring them home right out of the hospital. We will never forget it; it seemed too good to be true. I kept being afraid that it was only a dream and that I would wake up to find out it wasn’t real. But it was real, and that is the story of how Eliana and Cecily came into our lives.

Two and a half years later we got another amazing surprise. The same agency we had worked with for our previous adoptions called us up and told us that there was a newborn baby girl that would soon be legally free and therefore would need a permanent placement where she could be adopted.

For several months before I had felt that there was another little child that God was preparing to join our family but didn't know how or when it would happen. I was impressed that I needed to start praying for God's protection and leading in this child's life.

In the beginning of November 2009 we got the call, and I knew this was the child I had been praying for. I could hardly wait to meet our little girl and hold her in my arms. Finally the day came, I was happy, nervous and anxious. I couldn't sleep all night. When we got to the nursery and the nurses brought her to me I couldn't help falling in love with her. She was perfect.

Seven months later: Mommy and Daddy have been married for almost 10 years, Dany is 13. Jeremiah is 9, and Eliana and Cecily are 3 years old.

God has blessed our home with five wonderful children to whom we love with all our hearts and to whom we are totally committed to. God has also blessed me with a marriage arranged in heaven for just a time as this.

Our adventures are not over yet so stay tuned for many more adventures that God has in store for us.
